It's Kelsey, really!
lj is being a fucker and not letting me log in because I told firefox to save my password when it typed it in and I accidentally typed in the wrong one and now I have to high a ratio of failed log-ins. *kicks it*
Your layout is soo cute! Totally squee-a-licious! ^.^

And speaking of squee-worthy things...
Wanna go to Hamilton college with me?
I remember a few years ago you mentioned wanting to go to NY and my art teacher wants me to go to school in NY...and I found out that Hamilton college has Art History, French, and Japanese, with the added bonus of a very attractive Hammy statue on campus! Check them out!
https://my.hamilton.edu/academics/
^.^ At this point, I really don't care where I go as long as it A) has all the stuff I want and B)isn't in the middle of nowhere. Since I can't visit colleges...
Seriously. Wanna go there? Plus you can apply for free online!

Re: It's Kelsey, really!
Not to mention that they take SAT or ACT (with writing though ;_;) or you can pick three other tests...and some of the ones they accept are ones we take! IB Math and IB English! (Then you can just through in SAT too, and it's all good!)
I really think I'm going to apply there! *is excited now*

The only bad thing is they have a 33% acceptance rate (so much lower than my CA schools!)...but I bet we could make it in. Plus, it's free, so nothing to lose! :D

Re: It's Kelsey, really!
hurr..it looks nice, rly, but ;-; I really have my heart set on going to boulder o.o (Or at least staying in Colorado)

I know, I'm a lame-ass...but I figure that since I plan on traveling for a living...somehow...I might as well stay here while I can, you know?

But I might just..oh wait, can you apply there without having taken the writing sample? >.> dude, I seriously do not want to do it again, I don't think that I'll get a 30 twice in a row, you know? It feels like a lucky one time thing...

but if you do end up going there and I dont, I'll visit! Who the hell doesn't want to go see a hamilton statue!? *humps*

woah. ultra hawt.

Hah, I can't wait to get out of here! Stay here while I can, bah! This is the first summer I haven't gone on vacation and just knowing I won't be is KILLING ME. I AM SO FUCKING BORED AND TIRED OF STAYING AT HOME DOING CRAP BY MYSELF! BORED! BORED I TELL YOU!

Ahem....

Actually, you can just take the writing sample separately if the college requires it. Or so they told me at the college fair. Yup.
I'm picturing myself in a hoodie with HAMILTON written across the chest and I'm soooooo happy.
If I get in, you'll have to come visit! (And often so you can clean up my living quarters XDDDD)

Oh GOD I'M BORED. Not that I don't have a ton of shit to do but I'm tired of being here. I'd like to do something FUCKING DIFFERENT once in a while. *'scuze me while I angst ma'am* The most fun I've had is playing go-fish with my sibling. Whoo.
I was gonna see if a few people wanted to go to Boulder and find interesting stuff to look on Tuesday. Since my mom has a dentist appointment she could drive us down there...but I might have to go in for a job interview at Plato's Closet that day. I didn't hear back from Jo-Ann's so they must've found somebody more experienced to work there ;_;
I also applied at Costco, but they have 60 days to get back to me, so I don't expect to hear from them for a long time.
And I've gotta finish this application for Hallmark. Okay, so not actually a store I shop at, but it smells nice in there and it's peaceful. There was only one person in there when I went so it looks pretty easy at least. I need to get me some cash for NDK and save up for that probably-non-existent trip to Louisiana to see the Lafayette 250th b-day stuffs. omg. *heartheart*
I'm reading this book called "Adopted Son: Washington and Lafayette, and the Friendship that saved the Revolution" and I was squeeing just at the prologue! ^.^ It's due tomorrow and I can't renew it more than once (dumbass library) which I have already done some time back. And I still have 200 more pages! I better go finish it and stop bitching to you. But DAMN am I jealous of people who get to travel! ((I can't even watch TV without getting angry anymore ;_;))
But first! Off to find out if the Hamilton_crush members know where I can buy a Hammy plushie since the NYhistory store was sold out!
(And then to coerce my dear old daddykins into buying me the $25 Louis XIV board/card game! Woah!)
hurr hurr

MUST....HAVE....BOARD...GAME....*drools*

awwwwwwwww durn it I was all excited for you working at Jo-anns ;-; oh well no matter where you work I'll go there all the time anyway XD unless it's at costco, cause I can't exactly waltz in thurr...hurhur...

ZOMG if you went to boulder on tuesday i would TOTALLY COME OMG .... actually, we went there yesterday, and it was awesome. but I forgot a camera *hits head* so now i wanna go back! but are we going to pearl street, or that one bookworm store, or somewhere else? I dunno, boulder is AWESOME DOUBLELOL XD

...I'm not really bored, I really like being by myself (just as much as being with friends, i could go either way...Lol.)...is it a bit weird to be freaking out that Mr. Mehlbach might do a surprise "send me what you got!" email...and that I have NOTHING WRITTEN DOWN AT ALL!?!

...this whole thing is getting harder the more I try. wtf. help meeee plz. ;-; if you have any books on women around Louis XIV or just Louis himself I would really like to borrow them...;-; *tries in vain to kill the procrastination monster*

mmmm...writing sample w/o taking ACT again...*drool*

Re: It's Kelsey, really!

I thought you were going to USC?

I'd apply with ya, but sadly Hamilton College isn't on my list (they don't have chemical engineering, only regular chemistry). Meh...what's the weather like in New York? Maybe I'll apply anyway...

Hang on, there's a thingy on the website that says Degree offered: Bachelor of Arts. Does that mean you can't actually major in something...? I'd much prefer a degree in chemistry or one of the languages I'll study than a generic 'arts.' o.o

Oh, and Katie, sorry for commenting on your journal without actually talking to you! Will saying your layout is totally awesome make it up to you? I love the elephants by the way ^^

Re: It's Kelsey, really!
The weather is reputedly colder than here with blizzards in the winter upstate. I think this will suit me better, however, than the heat of CA. ;D

Re: It's Kelsey, really!

*sigh* Blizzards. Cold. Snow. Not my favorites, I must admit. CA's not bad, really, as far as I remember (though admittedly I was less than 5 when we lived there so maybe you shouldn't trust my memory =P). Both NY and CA are higher on my list, though, than places like LA (ew bugs and hot). =D

Wanna see my list of schools? They all have a satisfactory number of language majors, so I presume at least some have Japanese, and French is quite common... =) I haven't bothered to post it 'cuz it's not all typed up and it's really long, but I'll figure it out. ^^
